Dorte Bladt is a passionate advocate for vitalistic chiropractic care for children, running a thriving family practice in Newcastle, Australia. With 35 years of experience as a chiropractor and over 25 years dedicated to care for kids, Dorte holds a Master’s degree in Chiropractic Paediatrics, along with certifications in Chiropractic Paediatrics and Pediatric Neuro-Behavioral Disorders. She currently serves on the Australian Chiropractic Association AICE Chiropractic Paediatrics Clinical Practice Committee.
Dorte is the founder of the internationally renowned Switched-on Kids education programs, which she has been teaching globally since 2006. These courses equip chiropractors with essential tools for assessing and caring for children, blending practical techniques with clinical insights. She is a sought-after speaker at conferences worldwide and has taught paediatric chiropractic at leading educational institutions.
In 2016, Dorte authored Switched-on Kids – The Natural Way for Children to Be Their Best, a book designed to inspire and educate parents and teachers about enhancing children’s well-being through chiropractic care, brain-stimulating movement programs, and nutritional support.
Dorte is also the founder of The Kids Summit, launched in 2015 to unite like-minded chiropractors, advance education in chiropractic care for children, and fund vital research for this population group. To date, The Kids Summit has raised nearly $400,000, supporting several significant research projects in this crucial field.
In recognition of her contributions to the profession, Dorte received the Outstanding Service Award from the Australian Chiropractic Association in 2024.
